Dog Paws was fortunate enough to attend this year's 2017 Houston Apartment Association (HAA) Take 5 Business Exchange! It's an event where suppliers/vendors are able to get in front of decision makers from various property management firms for 5 minutes at a time (It's set up to be like speed dating!). When people have never heard of us, it's always fun to see people's reaction when we tell them what we do! We not only met some awesome people within the industry, but helped raise over $50,000 for the Houston Apartment Foundation (HAF) Scholarship Fund. 

The HAF Scholarship Fund provides monetary assistance to students who are pursuing their credentials.  The goal is to help grow talented people to work in the multifamily industry.

]]><![CDATA[Dog Paws Attends Houston World Series of Dog Shows]]>Tue, 25 Jul 2017 05:00:00 GMThttp://dogpaws.com/blog/dog-paws-attends-houston-world-series-of-dog-showsIn case you didn't know....the 40th Annual Houston World Series of Dog Shows was hosted at the NRG Center in Houston, Texas this past week (July 19 - 23, 2017). The show took up all five halls! This was actually our first dog show to attend, and we were quite impressed. There were dogs of all shapes and sizes! Just when we thought we knew our dogs, there was always someone there with a breed we've never come across. For example, we got to meet a Lundehund/Puffin Dog. They're known for having six toes on each foot and to be great climbers!

There were all kinds of events from  Flyball to Dog Agility to Dog Grooming Competitions. Talk about a lot of talent under one roof!

We were fortunate enough to have a booth as an exhibitor to promote our genetic screening test, the Canine HealthCheck. We had a great time promoting and educating dog owners about the benefits of understanding their dog's health.

All in all, we had a great time and hope to be back next year!
